Liebe MamboSwiss Freunde
Dies ist eine offizielle Mitteilung von Janine und Mathias, nach Absprache mit Ramy, an alle Freunde und Besucher der MamboSwiss.
Die MamboSwiss wurde dem Verein Salsa On2 Happenings anfangs Jahr von Ramy anvertraut. Wir fühlen uns Ramy gegenüber verpflichtet, die Party und damit das Label “MamboSwiss” auf dem heutigen Stand, mit den entsprechenden Werten zu halten. Sie wurde mit sehr viel Leidenschaft und Hingabe über die Jahre aufgebaut.
Wie viele bereits wissen, wechselt im Falcone-Restaurant per Ende Jahr der Pächter. Seit ungefähr einem Monat wissen wir, wer der neue Pächter sein wird und dass das zukünftige Restaurant “Falken” kein Interesse an Veranstaltungen wie der MamboSwiss oder an Konzerten hat.
Die Suche nach einer neuen, gleichwertigen Location hat uns einmal mehr gezeigt, was für einen tollen Partner wir mit dem Falcone hatten. Das Falcone war mitten in der Stadt, hatte eine tolle Musikanlage, die ideale Grösse, den perfekten Boden und war auch finanziell tragbar. Für die MamboSwiss war sie perfekt und verlieh ihr das einzigartige Ambiente. Die MamboSwiss ist in den Jahren mit dem Falcone schon praktisch verschmolzen – die Location gab ihr das Gesicht.
Eine neue Location zu finden welche alle diese Anforderungen erfüllt ist schwierig. Ein neuer Ort hat zur Folge, dass sich das Ambiente verändert. Je nach Gegebenheiten (Fassungsvermögen, Preis, etc.), würde es auch nötig, das Konzept des Events anzupassen, was wiederum Einfluss auf die Event Besucher haben kann. Es besteht die Gefahr, dass das Label darunter leidet.
Dies ist einer der Gründe, warum Ramy, Janine und Mathias gemeinsam entschieden haben, die MamboSwiss an der diesjährigen Jubiläumsparty zum letzten Mal durchzuführen. Ramy bietet es zudem die Möglichkeit, sich zu 100% aus der Organisation zurückzuziehen um sich mehr seiner Familie und seinem Beruf zu widmen. Uns bietet es im Namen des Vereins Salsa On2 Happenings die Möglichkeit, unabhängig ein passendes Konzept für die neue Location zu entwickeln.
Wie geht es nun weiter?
1- Die MamboSwiss wird unter diesem Label noch dreimal stattfinden. Wir freuen uns riesig auf die August und September-Edition, mit super DJs und Shows. Danach lassen wir es am Jubiläum im Oktober zum Abschied zwei Tage lang noch einmal richtig krachen.
2- Die MamboSwiss Dezember Party werden wir nicht durchführen.
3- Eine alternative Party zur MamboSwiss wird ab Dezember, unter neuem Label, weiterhin am dritten Wochenende des Monats stattfinden. Lasst euch vom neuen Konzept in frischem Ambiente überraschen. Wir geben alles! 😉 Weitere Informationen folgen baldmöglichst, voraussichtlich an der nächsten MamboSwiss Party am 17. August 2019.
Zum Schluss wollen wir uns bei euch allen herzlichst bedanken! Vielen Dank, dass ihr die MamboSwiss über die Jahre so treu und herzlich unterstützt habt. Die Organisation ist aus unserer Sicht nur ein Teil. Es waren grösstenteils die Tänzerinnen und Tänzer die diese Party formten und zu dem machten was sie wurde. Vielen Dank, dass ihr über Jahre die MamboSwiss besucht und unterstützt habt. Vielen Dank an alle die dabei geholfen haben, die Party zu promoten und in die Welt hinauszutragen. Und vielen Dank für eure Unterstützung in den nachfolgenden Projekten – wir werden sie brauchen. Wir freuen uns riesig auf viele weitere coole Mambo-Partys und bis bald.

Dear Friends of MamboSwiss
This is an official announcement from Janine and Mathias, in agreement with Ramy, addressed to all friends and guests of MamboSwiss.
At the beginning of the year, Ramy entrusted MamboSwiss to the association Salsa On2 Happenings. We feel that we have an obligation towards Ramy to preserve the party and the corresponding label “MamboSwiss” with its current status and values. It has been built up over many years with a great deal of passion and dedication.
As many of you already know, the Falcone restaurant will change tenants at the end of the year. For about a month now we have known who the new tenant will be and that the future restaurant “Falken” is not interested in hosting concerts or events such as MamboSwiss.
Searching for a new, equivalent location has shown us once more what a great partner we have had with the Falcone. The Falcone was in the city centre, had a great sound system, the ideal size, the perfect floor and it was also financially viable. It was perfect for MamboSwiss and has given it its unique atmosphere. MamboSwiss has practically merged with Falcone over the years – the location has defined its character.
Finding a new location which meets all these requirements is difficult. A new location will result in a changed ambience. Depending on the circumstances (capacity, price, etc.), it would also be necessary to adapt the concept of the event, which in turn could affect our guests. There is a danger that the label will suffer as a result.
This is one of the reasons why Ramy, Janine and Mathias have decided together that this year’s anniversary party will be the last edition of MamboSwiss. This will give Ramy the opportunity to withdraw 100% from the organization so he can devote more time to his family and career. For us, as Salsa On2 Happenings, it offers us a chance to independently develop a suitable concept for the new location.
What happens next?
1- The party will take place three more times under the label MamboSwiss. We are looking forward to the August and September editions, with great DJs and shows. Our farewell party will be the two-day anniversary in October, which we will celebrate with a blast!
2- The MamboSwiss December Party will not take place.
3- We will host an alternative party to MamboSwiss under a new label. This party will also take place on every third weekend of the month. Be surprised by the new concept in fresh surroundings. We’re giving everything! 😉 More information will follow as soon as possible, probably at the next MamboSwiss party on 17 August 2019.
Finally we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of you! Thank you so much for supporting MamboSwiss so faithfully over the years. We believe that the organization is only one part of it. It was mostly the dancers who formed this party and have made it what it is now. Thank you for dancing with us and supporting MamboSwiss over the years. Many thanks to everyone who helped to promote the party and has made it possible for it reach so many people. And many thanks for your support in the upcoming projects – we will need it. We are looking forward to many more cool Mambo parties!
